Heh, that idea actually scares me. Then again, it's not like Cole would get totally dominated. He'd get a few bolts in - he's not exactly cannon fodder. However, Alex having lightning powers is just too awesome!

Really makes me wonder how the hell the game will have nay challenge. This is the same problem Star Wars: The Force Unleashed had. Either it was too easy, or they wheeled out the impossibly frustrating cheap enemies and made the game a chore.

I’ve seen what Cole can do with electricity and in all honesty if he can keep his distance, he can knock Alex around for awhile. Nothing in Alex’s ability list suggest his immune to being fried by a lot of electricity. Set the fight in a power plant and it becomes a game of Cat and mouse, where Cole has a near infinite supply of juice to draw upon.

At least until Alex starts smashing the generators.

To be fair, Alex is the stronger of the two. That said, good path Cole (Which Alex doesn’t even have the option of being) has the moral high ground over Alex. Good Cole’s actually trying to help people and save the city, Alex just wants revenge.

A quick run down of Alex vs….

Wolverine – Alex has enough raw power to knock Wolverine around all day. Wolverine has the greater experience and his regeneration. I don’t know if that would allow wolverine’s body to reject any attempts by Alex at absorption, but if it does this fight goes on until Alex can knock Logan out.

Batman – Batman is the one normal who could beat Alex….if he knows what he’s up against and has time to prepare. If Alex just absorbs Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, or Alfred and shows up in the Bat Cave to add one of the greatest minds in DC to his collection, the Dark Knight is screwed. The best Batman can hope for at that point is to escape.

The beast why to beat Alex (outside a tactile nuke) is to use a powerful Telepath like Professor Xavier. Even then I’d have the prof hooked up to Cerebro just to boost his strength. A telepath should be able to find and crush Alex’s mind which should be more vulnerable than his body.
