Speaking of vampires, I still haven't decided on the identity of Kanoa's attacker.

I just know I want to use these lines on the confrontation:

Vampire: I'm a vampire. Can't blame me for doing what I do.
Adamaris: Of course I can! PREPARE TO DIE! ...um... AGAIN! :< *threatening face*



I also have no explanation for why they ate Kanoa.

The best I've got is Kanoa is sexy. Or maybe he was growing weird shit that coincidentally attracts vampires like zombies on a lawn.

The vampire is someone that is acquainted with neither Kanoa or Adamaris. In Adamaris's universe one bite is good enough to turn someone into a vampire. Though it's not a 100% chance. There is some arbitrary (currently undefined) rule in place to prevent a 99-1 vampire-human ratio... because having the inability to die coupled with having an extinct species as your sole food source is not a very pleasant state of being.

Yes, it's kind of complicated that I use different vampire rules in every single vampire story I write... SCREW YOU, CONSISTENT MYTHOS!

But I suppose, in Adamaris's story where it is easy to turn into a vampire, it is possible to undo it.

In Epifan's story, becoming a vampire is more difficult, but it is also impossible to undo it. Not that Epi cares... He kind of sucked as a human so there wasn't much inclination left or right.
